I have lost so many rights since the start of the "War on Terrorism". I will number them.

1. I'm muslim. Kiss my a$$.

2. Just looked the guns are still there.

3. Heard the knock on the door, just Mormons and Jehova Witness.

4. I thought probable cause was dead after 9-11. No knocking on the door demanding entry. Hummm curious!

5.We want answers! Havent heard that yet. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

6.Been looking for kangaroos, but see none. Brisbane station out.

7. Tort is still alive and well.

8. You wrote this, I presume it wasn't from a jail cell awaiting bail.

9. I can still dance naked in my bathroom singing "god bless russia", and casting curses. Cool!

10.I retract my statement about number 9 above. For the respect of the people.

It's funny, when everyone is told thier rights are being infringed they look for signs. When they look they see nothing.

This poster wants you to belive that The United States of America and all of her might wants to turn it against you. You are the target, you are the criminal. That is absurd.

What is not said by these people is the reaction of the american people if thier visions become reality.

They only want to excite, the citizen and hope in their wierd world that a revolution will begin, and they were the Patrick Henry of the day.

Rest relaxed freepers, we are not even close to a revolution. The nation is in good hands.

The press may not cover us but the effort never really goes unheeded. We have our occasional victories but they just don't print their losses on the front page. At least never in a way that admits their moments of defeat.

At the risk of sounding Pollyanna-ish, I think we're slowly gaining ground. Sometimes it seems we're running in place, since there's so much to be reclaimed.

Mainstream newspaper readership is tanking, Fox News has cracked the door open, Free Republic continues to grow, I'm sure as hell not getting any less cranky and vocal and don't intend to. Don't think any of the rest of us will either and I see the ranks growing.

Who could have predicted any of this a mere 25 or so years ago?

AnnaZ -- I know what you mean; our stupid Rat Rag here in Nashville, The Tennessean (Algore worked for them -- UGH!), will not print a single letter to the editor or op-ed guest column of mine, if it's at all political. If they're not political, I always get the four-star letter of the day, or my column will be printed, verbatim and uncut, in a prominent area of the page. Seems mighty odd. I write really well, it seems, except when I am writing -- errr -- "right."

Idjits. Hypocritical "idjits." (I majored in Hypocritical Idjits while growing up; meet my family, and you'll see!) Best -- or worst? -- of all, I think that the majority of the Lousy Left has no clue about how moronic their actions are. Their words? Don't get me started! *G*

Thanks for the astute column, AZ and Merc! I can relate. Believe me -- I can relate!

Absurd?
We see evidence every day
that our freedom is endangered.

Try walking around in public with a rifle.
Try just traveling with a weapon,
out of sight in the trunk of your car.
How about spanking your disobedient children?
Let your kid hold a prayer meeting in the hall before class.

Get in a fight with someone, your fault or his,
Oops, shouldn't have said that word.
Now you're going to jail, you commited a "hate crime."

Oh, no, your neighbor doesn't like you.
He phoned in an anonymous tip,
said that you have an "arsenal"
and accused you of dealing drugs.

You won't get a nice policeman checking the accusation out,
handing you a warrant as you start your day.
Your door will be kicked in around 3:00am
by 15 to 20 military men with drawn weapons.
Never mind that the military isn't supposed
to be involved in civilian law enforcement.

Spend the money you've been saving for years,
buy that property you've been hoping would still be there.
Start breaking ground, you're finally in business for yourself!
Except that you're told that someone saw an endangered fly.
Now you're bankrupt, and your dream property
is the home of an insect that could survive anywhere.

You see nothing?
You must be watching network news.

Well, we're not forced to have a God,
but those who do are actively encouraged
by our government to keep it to themselves.

That is also an infringment of our freedom.
