Why would anyone want to stay there long? Unless you're a geologist, there isn't much there of interest.
To: JohnHuang2
Dunno if we should leave in a hurry.
Didn't we do that in Iraq?

Col. Hackworth is on the mark. America did its "due diligence" in routhing the bad guys. The World has been watching and now knows America's resolve. Let's let our coalition forces sweep up, and scrub the floors. Get our marines out of the airports, and, as the Brits would say, "Press On."I love the Brits! They know how to engage the enemy and they ar good allies with us Yanks.
God Bless America, President Bush, VP Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Connie Rice, Colin Powell; but most importantly, American military, and our British friends, whom we do not hear from on the American press.
If Ivan is within earshot, send this note / sentiments to my British friends.
Warmest Regards, Mark Davis

"We do not choose to do these things because they are easy. We choose to do them because they are hard."
Should we be praying for the soul of JFK?

My guess is it rests south of the border.

Good sense would dictate what Hackworth says. For that reason, I expect the US to stay for the long haul and the guerilla attacks that will follow.

"...The tape was fake. And please don't call me a terrorist lover because I don't trust the CIA for NOTHING!..." One question, and you're so new here that you may mistake it for sarcasm...
But it's a sincere question, and an attempt to get a handle on the boundaries of your 'belief system'.
Here goes...
Are you one of those individuals who believe that the moon landings were faked?

How about Mullah Omar's garish funhouse in Khandahar where he lived like a pasha. Is that a fake too? The CIA secretly built it during Taliban rule, right? Jeesh!

Hackworth, once again, offers some real intelligent advise.
Sadly.....those in 'government'...probably won't listen.

Col. Hackworth is a treasure, a patriot and an American hero. No question about it. Allow me to disagree. Hackworth is a hack, looking for a right-wing buck. Some of what he says is useful, some of what he says is not. He's batted about .300 over the past few months.
