Not exactly anything new in the Arab world -- just a little more active than normal.

Not directed at you, but at the author of this and other articles like it.

Arabs, by definition, cannot be anti-semitic. Semites are peoples of the Near East and Northern Africa, including Arabs, Arameans, Babylonians, Carthaginians, Ethiopians, Hebrews and Phoenicians.

For an Arab to be anti-Semitic would be the same as a white person being anti-Caucasian.

Sorry, but I really do expect people in the media to at least recognize basic word definitions. Call me a dreamer.

If I may, for a moment, step aside from the "prescriptionist grammarians vs. descriptionist grammarians" debate, I'd like to address the meat of the story.

Major governments in the Middle East aren't satisfied with recycling Goebbel's methods. Now they're recycling his material. What should the US do?

If I were President, every transmitter and TV studio that show came out of would get hit with a cluster bomb. But then, if I were President, Mecca and Medina would be smoking radioactive holes in the ground by now, so it's probably a good thing I'm not.

Anyone have any ideas how the US should respond? Any ideas on how we should freep the White House and our Congresscritters over this? Threaten Egypt with an aid cuttoff if it gets shown there? Do we have aid or military cooperation with Abu Dhabi we could cut off?

In America, almost all the antisemitism I run into comes from the left. That's why it's so laughable that the Anti-Defamation League and most of the other Jewish groups constantly pound away at supposed Nazis on the right and their constituents constantly vote for radical leftist politicians. Sure, there are still some right-wing bigots around. But the real, insidious danger comes from pro-Palestinian academics and opinion leaders in our universities, and THEY are all leftists.
