As part of the lawsuit, Merante and the other plaintiffs acknowledge engaging in the forbidden activities.

OOh Ooh. I can't wait to hear about the Port a John at last years Gay Pride parade. Thank God I moved to Georgia.

I hear penalties for witchcraft are still on the books in some States too. Perhaps they can get some mileage out of that.

"...the case of a man arrested after having consensual sex with another adult in a secluded area of state-owned land..."

Why do they insist on a right to have sex in public?
Let alone that it truly is an "abominable and detestable crime against nature".
(BTW - AP is really slipping - "By the 1930s, sodomy laws existed in all 50 states." -There were not even 50 states in the 1930s!)

Gee, Mark. In my eyes your "committed, loving relationship" is ""an abominable and detestable crime against nature."" But then , I'm not a lawyer.

The really strange thing is that they are perfectly safe from sodomy laws as long as they don't do it publically. It's the public displays that get them in trouble.

Now how shall I enact legislation to disolve it?

Why dont you go study the issue for a few years and then get back to us. In the meantime, quit posting inane comments like this one.

But a 350-year-old Massachusetts law describes the couple's physical expression of that love as an ``abominable and detestable crime against nature'' punishable by a lengthy jail term.

"Thou shall not speak the truth about the homosexual perversion!"

"There is no fundamental right for consenting adults to engage in sexual acts in public," Reilly said in the court document.

But they are sure enough working on creating one!

"The state was just affirming what the (human) bodies had been created to do," he said.

Amen!

In my eyes your marriage is a pretense and a sham.

I know that normal biology infuriates you, but you're really sounding silly (no offense, Silly). Do you ever wish someone would have talked your mother out of heterosexuality?

Now how shall I enact legislation to disolve it?

I don't know but I encourage you to devote all of your time and fortune to trying! The public debate should be most worthwhile.

Flirtation between the members of the opposite sex on the streets of Little Rock, Arkansas, may result in a 30-day jail term....

If these laws were actually enforced who do you think broke this one?

When the Rump Rangers take over they rewrite all the rules to suit them but they always start with the ridiculous ones.

When having sex in Florida, the the missionary position is the only legal position.
Furthermore it is prohibited to kiss your wife's breasts or to have oral sex.

One good reason is that Sodomy continues to spread an Epidemic that is worldwide and is killing millions of people.

All people with Aids should be quarantined for the public good

Quarantine.......The enforced isolation of persons arriving from places infected with or exposed to contagious diseases...Funk and Wagnall's dictionary

Don't do it in public and you'll be alright. That's what this is really all about, IMO.
