Amazing how many of them still skulk around the dark corners of FR, looking for a chance to trash "Sharon's Visit to the Mount" yet one more tired time, and then jump gleefully into Israel-bashing.
Anti-semites are so tedious in their persistence

At a private lunch last month, the hostess - doyenne of London's political salon scene - made a remark to the effect that she couldn't stand Jews and everything happening to them was their own fault.
Fine by me. This is why Jews now have their own homeland named Israel and will defend it with advanced weaponry.
Word to Arab Muslim Jihadists ! Stand back !! Attack at your own peril.

If someone had said what that dinner host said, in my presence, I'd have gone to jail for assault and battery(with smile on my face.)

..."since September 11 anti-Semitism and its open expression has become respectable
at London dinner tables."
Given enough time, anything comes back into fashion...e.g., a quote
from a British officer from WWII (as best I can recollect):
"Actually, anti-Semitism was rather fashionable (in England) until Hitler came
along and over-did it.">
History ALWAYS repeats itself, IMHO.

Recently, the ambassador Senator of a major EU countryast Coast state politely told a gathering at my Charles Schumer's home that the current troubles in the world were all because of "that shitty little country Israel".

The left in the UK is insane. I think Europe could turn to Nazism again. The ingredients are all there that were there the first time.

I'd always wondered what happened to Vanessa "Ms. Al-Fatah" Regrave.
(Just joking...but recalling Ms. Redgrave's support for Al-Fatah years ago...
maybe the 1970s?)

I completely agree, dennisw.
That "shitty little country" Israel could probably go 9 rounds with any of the so-called European powers and live to talk about it.
The salon jihadists--like their more dangerous cousins on the Arab street--make the classic mistake of believing their own hype. In fact, Isreal is *not* the lap dog of the United States, and she is more than capable of defending herself against any threat.
To: Pokey78
"Why," he asked, "should the world be in danger of World War Three because of those people?"
The language of true cowards.

You should have heard what I said to Bosnian muslim refugee here in the USA when she said thAt the Jews were behind the attacks on 9-11....."$#@$*&^&%^#@! and ^%$#@# you little @$$0%$# witch!!"..... AND, THE LOOK I GAVE HER SHOULD HAVE TURNED HER TO STONE!!!
To: FITZ
Not only are the ingredients all there, but worse is that Europe is now flooded with Arabs (after having killed off most of their Jews), and Germany is the defacto leader of a nearly united Europe. Hitler's greater Germany dream is almost a reality, as once again we see Europeans caving to German demands.

Thanks for the ping, grlfrnd.
It would be interesting if Amiel named the ambassador and the Doyenne. But I think British libel law could be a major problem for her, if she did.

In about 12 months Israel will have a complete missile shield system. They are already protected on the north side with an anti-missile system but not from missile attack from Europe yet. (I'll concede it hasn't been proven in real world but the tests have all been successful). Ironically, Europe is adamantly opposed to anything like an anti-missile system.
To: Pokey78
Good old european anti semitism. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
