Keep digging up these smoking guns Roscoe. God knows it has everything to do with the second amendment which is the topic of the thread. Perhaps you could create a whole new thread dedicated to exposing the evil intent of these third parties working together gain ground against the duopoly held by the republicans and the democrats. That would be fine indeed and you're just the guy to do it.

"An unprecedented informal alliance between the Libertarian Party and the Green Party was formed at the candidates forum on Tuesday, November 13."

The mice that roared.

No, the thread is about a publicity stunt by a delusional LP Senate candidate. Read the "press release."

Then you've given up and deserve it. Never give up.

Believe me when I tell you that I won't. But I think that if history has shown us anything it is this: Rights are generally (yes, that's a qualifier) done away with incrementally, but are almost always attained or regained in large chunks that typically involve mass quantities of violence.

Guess that's my way of saying that incrementalism works fine in one direction, but not so well in the other.

And I think you would probably admit that civil disobedience has been a part of this nation since before we won our independence. This is basically The Sons of Liberty without the war paint and in the daylight. The Rosa Parks analogy fits nicely as well.

Do you believe in the dignity of individualism without the constraint of some superficial force called government?

"The mouse that roared." He's Barney Fife. Fighting for the status quo wherever it's called into question.

Either attempt would prove futile.

"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes....Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." Thomas Jefferson

Thought this quote might be pertinent.

"This country has enough America haters." -- cardinal4

I fully agree. Keep in mind that Iam just alittle guy on the internet. But when we talk about firearms in America; we talk about basic concepts not just about our country; we talk about our concepts of personal rights, liberties and freedoms. I am for taking up arms against a government that doesn't understand the Constitution.
