Look for the No. 4 House leader J.C. Watts, to make official his plans to run for the No. 3 job as majority whip.
While it may seem like a natural progression, Rep. Roy Blunt, the leader in the race- which won't be decided until after next November's midterm elections -is backed by the expected new Majority Leader, Rep. Tom Delay.
Blunt thinks he already has the edge on Watts and Rep. Ray Lahood.
But the knives are out.
Foes are spreading this story:While Majority Leader Dick Armey tearfully announced his retirement in a floor speech, Blunt was in the back of the chamber campaigning.

Roy Blunt doesn't need to campaign in the back of the chamber or anywhere else. He has it sewed-up.

Breaking!
Al Hunt had a one on one with Hitlary that was transmitted on CNN's Capital Gang 1/2 hour ago. As usual, she's too weak spined to appear anywhere live.
Al Hunt asked her about Bill O'Reilly beating up on her because she hasn't been to any funerals of the firemen in NY.
Hillary said, "well he beats up on me every week, and I feel sorry for him." (my paraphrase)
What the heck!? Did I hear this right?
Stand aside George Clooney. We're in for a real show now.

Next weeks' THE FACTOR should prove to be 'most interesting'! Hopefully, someone has found her grubby fingerprints on something that will stir the DNC into dissarray. I love it (the only political party that eats its young).

By the way, make sure to watch the Factor special on the regular Fox Network...I thik it is on in 15 minutes.

Sorry, after seeing Watts on O'Reilly practically cowering before the name of Jesse Jackson, I have ZERO respect for him. I want someone with some spine in that position.

Looking for it....I dunno if my Sattelite carries the other Fox channel. If not, hopefully will repeat on FNC later tonight.

Go Lahood. He voted against at least one version of the unpatriot act.

Why is Armey retiring? Realy, now.

Why is Armey retiring? Realy, now. Armey lied on his financial disclosures to the House Of Reps for the past 5 years, and the House Ethics Committee was going to bring charges against him.
Armey claims he has no assets above $1000.

What impressed me about you was when you commented on the last batch of uncounted ballots in the Cantwell race, and proved dead on. At that point, well, I wondered. Still do. Freepmail me. :)

Somehow I have doubts about your story. However it is very fishy that he press is not touching the Armey resignation. There is something cooking there. I guess will have to stay tuned.

A sample of those "voters who affirmed their citizen and residency" votes were "peeked" at.
Sample showed 90% for Cantwell.
It was all over but the shouting for Slade.

If you are too lazy to go to opensecrets.com, do a google search on ARMEY and assets, a few of the links that appear will affirm what I wrote about Armey's financial disclosures.

I like JC but don't want to see him in a leadership position. Not sure he has the cahoney's needed for the job.
