And if the US is the most indebted nation in the world, that must be a winner, since we have the highest per capita income in the world, after Luxemboug. Of course, speaking of per capita, the US probably has one of the lowest per capita debt levels in the world. So there goes that theory. If you mean consumer debt, yep those damn credit cards.
