TEHRAN, Iran - Frustrated Palestinians may target U.S. interests with suicide attacks because of Washington's support for Israel, Iran's former president said Friday.
Hashemi Rafsanjani's comments came as thousands of people across the Middle East attended rallies marking the importance of Jerusalem, the holy city fought over by Muslims and Jews.

Only China is even capable of it and China is not going to commit suicide for the sake of Islam.
Actually, the "radical" Islam movement has ticked off both Russia and China, so I don't see them fighting against us because of this. Though I do expect that they will publicly chastise any of our actions against any Islamic nation or territories for their own propaganda purposes.
Turn this one to glass too!
It comes of having an unattainable, and terminally stupid, "national strategic objective": the annihilation of Israel.
And this too!
He said if a day comes when the world of Islam is duly equipped with the arms Israel has in possession, the strategy of colonialism would face a stalemate because application of an atomic bomb would not leave any thing in Israel but the same thing would just harm part of Muslim world.
They got caught up in the round-up after 9/11, and were eventually deported for visa violations. veronica has the details.
What's wrong with this picture?
The Jordanians aren't exactly in love with Palestinians... after all, I think Jordan is sitting on about 80% of former 'palestine territory' which they are not inclined to have turned into a 'Palestinians state for Arafat.'
The Jordanians have also contributed to our activities in Afghanistan.
Unmitigated bovine feces. Since when?????????? Certainly not historically.
Jerusalem certainly is important to Jews.........and probably even more important to Christians for some fairly obvious reasons. The Muslims? Sheesh. They're newcomers to the scene, and they just want to deny the Jews the turf.
They'll scream (as usual) until they're blue in the face over such a statement, but screw 'em. It's the truth.
P.S. They want war? Bring it on. We're in JUST the right mood these days..................
Near derelict third holiest site in Islam when they had sole control of Jerusalem. Click on the picture for the link to an article explaining how and why this myth was created less than 70 years ago.
Apparently, this USA Today hasn't been watching the vaunted "Arab street" in recent weeks. If you have been watching the reaction in Amman, Cairo, Damascus, Islamabad and elsewhere, you know it's been remarkably quiet, for a couple of reasons. First, genuine support for bin Laden in the Arab world is tepid, at best, and his "true believers" constitute only a small fraction of the Arab and Islamic worlds.
Of course, there's another reason for the relative calm in the Arab street. The thugs and terrorists who might be tempted to act have been watching our military activity with a great deal of interest. They've been stunned by our ability to mount a military campaign--using mostly surrogate ground forces--and achieve a stunning victory, less than three months after the 11 September attack. Hamas, Hizballah and the rest of those goons understand brute force and resolve. They also know that those B-52s bombing bin Laden back into the 6th century could pay them a visit as well.
Charles Krauthamer had a great piece on this topic a couple of weeks ago. He also pointed out that much of what we hear about the Arab world comes from experts in "Arab studies" programs at U.S. universities. And, as Dr. Krauthamer points out, these pundits have a wrong history of being spectacularly wrong about their so-called area of expertise.....
was it after the US entered the war? What was it called before WWII?
It seems to me with all the countries alligned with us or against us this is already WWIII.
