The thing that impressed me about the writers of the skit is they captured Bush as being painstakingly polite to Gore in spite of the urgency of the situation he was confronting and the urging of his key advisors. Bush was a portrayed as perfect gentlemen. If the liberal comedy writers saw that trait then others do too.

I think if one wants to get a pretty good picture of what an Al Gore presidency would look like, they should look at Gray Davis in California this year.

Of course if Al Gore had somehow wrestled the Presidency from Bush during the election debacle, there probably would have been an armed insurrection of some kind and terrorism from abroad would have been the least of our worries.
