We gave the children a puppy for Christmas a couple of years ago. The perfect Kodak moment with a the children taking a lid off the box and seeing the cute little button of a dog. Turned out to be 700 dollars worth of stupid. Needed a dog that wouldnt shed, ended up with a schnauzer. Stupid and nearsighted. After the wonderul dogs we have had this one has been a real letdown.

So did we-- my wife is asthmatic-- so we found the labradoodle (see link in post #53). They have the personality of a labrador and the non-shedding coat of a standard poodle.
