We have been dogless since summer of 99. Our wonderful Golden Retriever, Jake, developed a cancer on his jaw and had to be put down--it was sad around our house for a long time.
Once we get the new house built, we'll shop for a new Jakester.

I have always had mutts. The dog I have now is Lucy, a pit-mix. She is sweet and loyal. I take her to work occasionally. If I walk in without her, the first words I hear are "where's Lucy"
