The Afghan variety isn't the same as the African variety known as 'Ebola' in Uganda. Common in asia, but nasty stuff, though- spread mainly by ticks from areas where there is a lot of livestock... though it can be spread by infected people, coughing or sneezing. Lyme disease looks tame by comparison.
