When I read, over the Thanksgiving weekend, that Vladimir Pasechnik had just died of a stroke, I thought nothing of it. I was completing reading Ken Alibek's book
Biohazard (in which Pasechnik plays a rather prominent role) at the time, so the timing struck me as curious. But I didn't doubt the alleged cause of death, then.
But now, reading about all these other people, I have to wonder.
