A random thought--- Could be that the actual 'connected' disappearances/murders (and we only strongly suspect we'll find a connection or common thread) have to do with "Prevention".

Prevention of disclosure of a piece of the bigger picture or Prevention of the possibility of future 'Networking'.

There would need to be false trails laid.

Just an early thought.

The Afghan variety isn't the same as the African variety known as 'Ebola' in Uganda. Common in asia, but nasty stuff, though- spread mainly by ticks from areas where there is a lot of livestock... though it can be spread by infected people, coughing or sneezing. Lyme disease looks tame by comparison.

This sounds more likely to me that prevention of "networking." But someone needs to start a list so we can look at it all at once to look for any big picture that may be there. Don't forget that the doctor in Chili who received the anthrax letter had an affiliation with St. Jude Hospital, as did the missing biologist, Don Wiley.

Then again, don't forget that all these deaths and disappearances may go on all the time among this population, but most of the time no one notices. What we REALLY need is a statistician!

Because of our normal likely suspects who are "in business" around the World destabilizing nations use this concept religiously ----- "Compartmentalizing".

The players/tools who could provide information of very Key Aspects of an Operation are eliminated.

In this possible operation the list could get much longer than "The Clinton Death List" that covered Mena, BCCI, and the S&L scams.

None of the burned ex-players knew the whole picture, but each could have provided Key Aspects of it. McDougal, Foster, etc

I worked in biotech research for about 15 years before retiring to be a mom. You have one expert on immune function and another expert in dna sequencing, but the guy who can lead you to the bug is the one that worked in the animal research lab. The first two guys are about making a bug more potent or changing structure. The guy in the animal lab was working the bug itself.
Find out what he was working on and you have some information. Just my two cents. Also my husband has long held that what they will do is something like hoof and mouth, to devastate our economy. Hoof and mouth doesn't require scientific help, though, so I think it's something zoonotic. I think they're going to attack out agriculture, probably livestock, and somehow make it so that it also gets us in the process.
You need to find out about veterinary publications in scientific review journals in Australia, then search for the published work of the Nguyen guy. He had a speciality, what was it?

Also, I don't think it is possible to wipe out the scientists in this country or any other. Here in Seattle alone we have the biotech capital of the country and there are plenty of people capable of handling a biological assault. What I do think is that they are trying to get information and/or kidnapping these people to work for them. And killing them, maybe, if they don't agree. Just my further two cents. This thread intrigues me.

now go here And read about Dr Marion Andrew, 5th one down, who seems to be working at Geelong, wasn't that where this microbiologist, Nguyen, died? And it seems to indicate that Geelong is about livestock industries and food safety.
Then go down to read about Dr Alex Hyatt, who has a larger paragraph and was awarded some medal for his work with a zoonotic virus, newly emerged to boot.
