Scientist Found Slain In His Loudoun Home (2 More Bio-Experts Dead, EbolaVictimMissing)

A well-known biophysicist who was one of the leading researchers on DNA sequencing analysis was found slain in his rural Loudoun County home after co-workers became concerned that he didn't come to work Monday, authorities said yesterday.

A microbiologist killed at CSIRO's animal diseases facility in Geelong had logged 15 years' experience with the unit, police said today.

Victoria Police said Set Van Nguyen, 44, appeared to have died yesterday morning after entering an airlock into a storage laboratory filled with nitrogen.

His body was found when his wife became worried after he failed to return from work.

"When Dr. Shmuel Gilles of our department was murdered by terrorists on his way home to Efrat last year, [Who is this?] Amiram's grief was total. It was the first time I ever saw him completely silent, unable to find words. At a memorial ceremony we're holding for Shmuel this February 7, Amiram was to present the first Gilles Prize in Hematology," says Ben-Yehuda.

Leimen area puzzled by disappearance of doctor, reported threat on soldier

HEIDELBERG, Germany — A soldier was accosted by two men with a handgun who appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent Sunday night as he was driving from his home in Leimen, Germany, near the U.S. Army Europe headquarters in Heidelberg.

"We did have a report of a soldier driving in the vicinity of Leimen at about 1830, allegedly being threatened by occupants in another vehicle," said Army spokeswoman Millie Waters. "It’s being investigated. We’re taking it seriously and we’re looking into it."

Officials refused to release any additional information.

The German police, however, confirmed they are searching for "two dark-skinned men who look Middle Eastern to the witness," according to Heidelberg Polizei officer Bernd Greuenbuhoer.

Leimen, like many of the towns in the Heidelberg area, has a large Turkish community.

Concerned that such reports could stir anti-Arab and anti-Turkish sentiments in the wake of last Tuesday’s terrorist attacks, Gruenbuhoer added that because it was getting dark around the time of the incident, that perhaps the soldier did not see clearly.

The soldier told officials the men were driving an old, yellow four-door Mercedes. The car’s registration plate number, however, did not match a car of that description.

A similar incident in another community is also being investigated, but again Army officials declined to release details.

Meanwhile, the search continues for Maj. Jon Baldwin — also from Leimen — who has been missing since Thursday, said officials.

A family practice physician at the Heidelberg Hospital, Baldwin disappeared without a trace after leaving for work Thursday morning.

Baldwin was the commander of the Butzbach Health Clinic in Giessen for two years before being reassigned to Heidelberg last year.

"I’ve thought of everything and I just have no idea what could have happened to him," said his wife, Sherilyn, who was the last person to see him. "There’s no physical evidence that points to anything at all. He just vanished without any clues. I can’t even guess. There’s nothing."

Baldwin is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds; he is the father of three young boys including one newborn. He was driving a burgundy 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback, USAREUR registration plate number AF AB 708.

"Even when he’s going to be late for dinner, he calls," said Sherilyn Baldwin. "He’s always very thoughtful. What is so hard is that he is such an attentive, loving father. He just really loves those boys. It’s hard for me to think that he would just go off somewhere."

His cell phone has been turned off, his wife she said, since he disappeared.

"God knows where is," she said. "That’s the only thing giving me comfort right now."

You all should form an investigative company. Excellent work.

My only hope is that there are people within the bowels of the U.S. government agencies - who are being PAID TO PROTECT AMERICANS -- who are following your investigative leads. (The ones being paid to shush you/us up are the ones we know are watching - surely some of the "good guys" are reading FR too?????)

There should be an all points "red alert" going out throughout this country regarding:

1. Imminent danger to scientists working in biotechnology/immunology/infections diseases/DNA and Gene research....

2. Immediate full scale alert of all Americans to biowarfare attack - (what will we do to prepare????? Much more than is being done now.....)

3. AN IMMEDIATE CALL TO URGENT, ROUND THE CLOCK, PRAYER BY THOSE WHO BELIEVE WE ARE UP AGAINST FORCES FROM HELL - and God alone is our surest defense!

Sorry - but this is so obvious it is sickening to think only here on Free Republic alarm bells have been sounded regarding these amazing "coincidental" deaths of people in fields which are the highest topics of discussion right now by those who want to kill us and by those who supposedly (should and are) trying to prevent that from happening.

Believe me, they're so far ahead of us it would make your head spin. Or at least that's my judgment, anyway. If I'm wrong, please don't burst my bubble and my delusions. As for reading our stuff here, if they do it's probably for their own amusement and entertainment after a hard day's work. I have no delusions in that area. ;-)

As for the Wackenhut/IGI-type idiots who actually get paid to live here, I've noticed that the "usual suspects" are not weighing in on this topic as you'd expect. And speaking of that, did you realize that out of all of those Trannie threads, they didn't show up once? A brilliant Freeper sent me an Excel file that has each and every reply and poster listed (among other things), so I know this for a fact. (And no, I can't share, so don't ask me, anyone. Sorry! It's his wonderful creation, and I wouldn't even ask!)

But back to the subject... I'm still holding off on forming an opinion on whether there's anything weird going on or not. People die, and the Grim Reaper isn't choosy. These dead and missing biotechnology-related people may just be a normal occurrance and it only seems funky because of the 911 and anthrax events. What we really need is a FReeper who is familiar with actuarial analyses and risk prediction procedures.

I'm glad to know that your preception is they are "so far ahead of us it would make your head spin." You can reserve judgement on this series of deaths of scientists/doctors in the bio-immununological-geneticist sciences - perhaps I should as well. However, why not err on the side of caution? Surely, government agents should be issuing a quiet alarm to Americans in these scientific domains to be on the alert. I had a thought. What if these deaths are "messages" to others in these fields? i.e. Cooperate with us ("us" being an unnamed terrorist entity) or you will meet the same fate as Dr. whatever and Dr. so and so.

Or, could any of these scientists/doctors have somehow already cooperated with our Federal Government or signed on to help with any bioterror-fighting groups after having been asked to do so by the Feds?????

I don't doubt what you said about the Trannie threads - but that is a bit amazing. They plop on every other similar (conspiracy type) thread - why not those?
