""She took our message to heart. There's so many different animal issues, and you can't expect that everyone is born Ghandi. We think Britney has set a great example of someone who listened to what we had to say and made a change."
(All together now... "Seig heil, seig heil! All good Nazis sing the same tune, at the same time")
This coming from people telling me that my house cat is being denied his dignity by being a, -gasp- pet!!! I would trade places with my cat in a heart beat. He can get up and go to work & worry about the bills, groceries, etc...

my house cat is being denied his dignity by being a, -gasp- pet!!! I work with one of these people. She refuses to even say the word 'pet' to refer to an animal. Thinks there's no difference between animals and humans, animals have rights too, etc, etc. Of course, she's vegan as well.
side note: Does anyone else remember when Alan Colmes would vivisect vegetables on his radio show? He had the most appropriate foley setup for making it sound like he was torturing a hapless zucchini.

I would trade places with my cat in a heartbeat. I know what you mean. My cats eat better than I do.

Don't you know that by imprisoning "your" cat, you're depriving him/her of him/her liberty? Nothing more than the plantation owners of centuries past! He/she should be free to roam, as nature intended. Free to explore and be as one with the wildness that was bred into he/she. Free to die of malnutrition or feline leukemia. Free to be run over by a truck. Free to freeze to death on a winter's night. Free to breed hundreds of kittens who will in turn die horrible and lingering deaths from disease, injury and exposure.
PETA pisses me off!

These PETA clowns have never actually TALKED with a cat.
I've been told (by cats) that cats believe that, while dogs have "owners", cats have "staff".
It appears to be true from what I observe from my two hairballs.
