It's been done in the U.S. In the first case I remember, the parents got IVF but took their chances on whether the baby would be a donor for their teen-age daughter, who had leukemia. I believe they did pre-natal testing, but without any plans for abortion if the baby was not a match, and as luck or the Lord would have it, the baby was and became a marrow donor shortly after birth, saving her sister's life.

In the other case, the parents had the fertilized eggs tested befor implanting, and chose the compatible donor.
