Mamood and Majid said bin Laden said he had obtained, or had acess to, some type of radiological material that he said had been acquired for him by the radical Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. The scientists said they left the meetings believing bin Laden had some such material, but Pakistani officials said they have been unable to verify those claims.

The scientists reportedly said bin Laden asked how the material could be made into a weapon or something usable.

Do you remember last January? All the terror groups had a big meeting in Tehran. OBL and his boys might not be winging it on their own. Time will tell.

What was the meeting in Tehran? The indictment of Moussaoui today mentioned Iran, surprisingly.

I have seen the newspaper article posted on FR several times since Feb and read about it in a hard copy mag. It was just tucked away in my head as one of those little ?remember factoids.

The article basicly said the groups(hamas, al queda, plo etc.) met to put aside their differences and coordinate efforts. Perhaps a skilled searcher could dig it up.

If these groups are no longer acting independently of each other, it will make our task more difficult. Something to keep your eye on.
