I'm a man who couldn't be attracted to men sexually even if I "chose" to try to. Nor could I successfully "choose" not to be attracted to women.

I'm just not built that way.

And since I'm aware that I'm simply "wired" that way, it doesn't seem unreasonable to me to consider that men who show obvious sexual attraction to other men, and not to women, may well be men who are "wired" differently, and not simply men who are somehow able to "choose" to do what I would find impossible.

Are you truly trying to tell us that *you* "chose" *your* sexual orientation, and that it was not thrust upon you by biology before you even really understood what sex was about?

I didn't "choose" to be heterosexual. I just *am*. If someone else claims that they similarly didn't choose their homosexuality, I'm going to have to take their word for it, because I don't see how someone *could* "choose" contrary to what they were born to on this matter.

It threatens the Biblical veracity. I mean if sexual orientation is NOT choosen, but pre-established -- how can they hate homosexuals -- how can the Bible call on us to kill homosexuals? It just CAN'T be -- even if it is!

This kind of talk misses the point. Sexual orientation(s) are usually shaped in a life by thousands of little choices, each of which reinforces or weakens a trend towards one proclivity or another. For mose people, a lot of this happens during childhood before there is any awareness of overt sexuality (and the urgency of adolescent hormones). It's a bit like choosing the station you want to play on your radio while it plays at whisper level, then suddenly having the volume turned way up. Almost any gay can learn, over time, at least some straightness, but it may not happen overnight and it requires conscious choices. This is because it involves fighting one of the most powerful addictions known to man.

No, you didn't choose to be a male - you're right. Male and female He made them. After that, it's all a matter of choice - where you will have sex, who you will have sex with, when you will have sex, how often you will have sex, etc. etc. etc. Homosexuality, bestiality, pedophilia, adultery - all fornication and all start in the brain with a decision.
