I support high speed access to the Internet at my house, too. I want the gov't to tax other people to pay for it.
You do not see all the subsidizing rural folks do for the cities. We recieve 1/3 return on our taxes as city folk. Also, over who's land do all those phone and power lines go for the public good. I can't tell you how many easements go through my farms with no compensation to me.
