Good Morning,Chase.I posted the other day that Kim jr is nuts. Not much is known about him,but what is known,is all negative. He apparently has a drug and alcohol problem, and is very paranoid.I say we dismiss this drunken windbags threats........for now. There will be plenty of time later to rid the world of tiresome and troublesome regimes.

First of all, we were forbidden from finishing NK off. The UN and Truman forbade us from advancing when we started gaining 'too much ground'. We were like a dog on a chain, with a stick being jabbed at us. That is why we never actually won. And that is why MacArthur lost respect for his president. MacArthur, a tactical purist, refused to listen to insane orders. As for the 'atomic option' remark...
Your assessment of the Truman/MacArthur battle is off base. A General, no matter how charismatic or popular can not and should not ever set American foreign policy, which is what Mac tried to do.
MacArthur claimed that his atomic bomb statement was used out of context. Do you have the complete and exact quote? Don't forget, Truman was a democratic. You know, that music band that always lies.
...A General, no matter how charismatic or popular can not and should not ever set American foreign policy...
Nor should a president fight communism when a socialist congress forbids him from doing so. But God bless Reagan for doing the 'wrong' thing!

Thanks for the ping. One question though;are these reactors able to be modified to produce weapons grade material? If so,what were they thinking?I remember about 5 years ago,I saw pictures of the groundbreaking ceremony.Whats been done since then?It appears the warming of relations during the Clinton administration have come to a halt.Do you think the DPRKs ratcheted up the rhetoric because W is now President?
