Set your metronome to 300bpm and you'll smile, I'm pretty sure.

I dont't play jazz, so I wouldn't have a sax player, or any player changing keys, or modulating willy-nilly during a song. In jazz, he could go ahead and change by himself...noone would ever know....lol

"I have stories I could tell about drummers I know."
Really? Share some tips with me...the sagging middle-aged southern rock drummer thing isn't working for me anymore. It's really bad now that I cut my hair! Maybe I should go for the I-couldn't-care-less look of Charlie Watts...but then I'd have to play with one stick while looking at the backside of Keith Richards.

I agree with you more than anyone else so far. The problem is that Jazz has become too general a term. Jazz like Benny Goodman et/al is good music, and it is musical. It's the 'fusion' noise I don't get. I can't follow it. There's no sheet music on it because it's weird. So let's just say the original jazz is fine, this latest stuff is noise. IMHO

You're getting tiring with your drummer talk. But I have had fun playing you. You've been more fun playing than most of the instruments I have...
