WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The hunt for Osama bin Laden has come down to this: a struggle between two men in two caves half a world apart.

One commands the most advanced weapons and technology on earth. The other has at his command little more than the ancient tools of the hunted: stealth and cover.

I'm uncertain about the restrictions regarding full text posting of LA Times articles drawn from other sources. Would some kind FReeper be kind enough to enlighten me?

How many angels dance on the head of a pin?

Seriously, that is such a grey area that providing a link, as you did, is probably the best approach.

Thanks for posting, er, linking this!

Thanks. I thought as much and chose the safest course of action. There is the added benefit of denying them the hits when I can link to another website.

:o)

The LA Times and Catro both were infuriated by the Gore loss then the huge hit the Left (worldwide) took on 9-11. Most of what we get from the LA Times is like this: a kooky spin lead-off about two cave dwellers trying to kill each other (yeah right, that's what it's all about and it is a take-off on the Liberal off-the-shelf . . . there is no black or white).

Cheney was in Dallas for a big funderaiser bash (for Dick Army?). He didn't seem to have any cave dust on him that I could see.

An anti-Taliban force of some 2,000, backed by relentless U.S. air raids, captured some cave-riddled hills in the rugged Tora Bora region of eastern Afghanistan, killing 22 foreign fighters loyal to bin Laden, a force spokesman said. (Reuters Graphic)

You did right. At present, we can only post segments of Wash. Post and L.A. Times articles due to the lawsuit injunction. We can post full articles from other sites, though.

I wouldn't touch the L. A. Times with a 10 foot pole.

First thing they spit upon is our VP. Cheney summed it up when he called Clymer a major a-hole.

I pray for our VP to be in a debate with the bitch from Chapaqua. He will slice and dice and expose her for what she is.

Lady MacBeth will be on the ticket in 2004. Make no mistake, it's her calling and the vehicle to bring her traitorous husband back to the Whitehouse.

Caves more vulnerable than thought.....

By who? I for one have been praying that he is in that cave, the one with the pretty schematic that the CIA built back in the cold war.....in cave, bunker, standing naked at ground zero surrounded by firefighters with good throwing stones in their hands, it doesn't matter, we know where he is, he's over.

I'm afraid that he is going to surface in Palestine with Hamas leaders, shortly after he wipes out rat-afat.

This would unite muslim extremists in a populist movement, and make the coalition such -as-it-is immediately dissolve.....bring things to a head in a way not of our choosing. Its really important that we get him and get him soon. Dead or Alive.

So many targets, so little time. Bringing it to a head could only help matters.

"...I'm afraid that he is going to surface in Palestine with Hamas leaders, shortly after he wipes out rat-afat..."

Please make an effort to pronounce Yasser Arafat's name correctly.

The English transliteration: 'Yasser Arafat' is a poor one, leading many whose native tongue is English to mispronounce his name.

The correct pronunciation is:

Yas-Sur Ahm-Uh-Fart

I hope this has been helpful

That graphic talks about angled entrances guarding against bombs and missiles. Well, look at that angle! Perfect for dropping a bomb right into the complex! Looks like those stupid, cowardly diaperheads don't even know how to build a cave entrance correctly. Angle it downward or sideways, but not up! Thanks for the bomb shaft, stupid!
