it remains imperative that the US government has a national space policy that facilitates the commercial development of space. BS! Privatize NASA and then get the government out of the way.

There is little doubt that within a century, if not less, it will not be possible to be a great power without being a leading player in space. That is exactly what China said when they announced they were going to the moon, and would launch a Taikonaut to orbit within whatever time period they had in mind, 5 years I think for the orbital mission.

I know what I want for Christmas! Forget all the other stuff. Keep the socks, the ties, the occasional DVD. Just gimme that $98,000 sub-orbital package from Space Adventures, thank you very much.
