I don't know what event you may be using to say when Israel became a nation, but that event surely was earlier than 1312 BCE.

I think the Exodus occured just after or during the massive 1628BC explosion of the Thera/Akatori/Santorini volcano. This was a catastropic event that was recorded in tree rings world wide.
