The definition offered by Mr Poohbah in #172 is a good start.
To see another face of the far-right, you can check out America's Home-Grown Taliban. Here's an example:
"North has called publicly for the execution of women who have abortions. Stoning, he has said, would be the preferable method because "the implements of execution are available to everyone at virtually no cost." According to Clarkson, Rushdoony, who is Norths father-in-law, (North) also suggests the death penalty be used to punish those guilty of "apostasy (abandonment of the faith), heresy, blasphemy, witchcraft, astrology, adultery, sodomy or homosexuality, incest, striking a parent, incorrigible juvenile delinquency, and in the case of women, unchastity before marriage." Non-capital crimes would be sanctioned with whipping, indentured servitude or slavery."
Who do I consider to be the far-right? Basically, the Christian Identity/Aryan Nations/neo-Nazi/White Supremacist/KKK crowd, the terrorist groups they spawn, such as the Order gang, the Aryan Republican Army, the Army of God, and those elements of the militia/patriot movement with ties to the above.
Chilling.
Hate is taught. It doesn't come naturally.
Thanks for this heads-up, but it is doubly chilling that the ROOTS of this hate are obvious.
Well, I belong to none of these groups, believing that they're not much more than a small, pathetic group of snaggletoothed cranks, yet you once suggested I was somehow associated with them. On an immigration thread, I think.
I still wonder if your definition of "right wing" doesn't extend to anyone with whom you have ideological disagreement.
