I have a geiger counter that I acquired at a garage sale years ago. Yesterday I realized that I should start carrying it in my car. If we had thousands of volunteers carrying around radiation meters with them we might be able to pinpoint suspicious vehicles, houses, etc. as we go about our daily business. Nukes and dirty bombs have one little weakness...you can detect them with the right equipment. The government has a few teams with radiation meters out there, but I'm sure that there's not enough. Be sure to snap a few photos or shoot some video of any suspicious vehicles or people.
