"Do you think that the failsafe mechanisms on a nuclear device created in the 60's can withstand a cryptoanalysis attack by a modern day computer? Do you think that 20 year cipher will hold up? I can tell you it won't. Security is based on the percieved sophistication of the attacker. I can tell you right now that a 20 year failsafe mechanism on any type of nuclear device could not withstand an attack by a well funded attacker today" ...... Exactly. Homeland Defense doesn't want to talk to thorny issues like these. I for one do not believe that the terror is over by these fanatics. That why we ALL should be vigilant for anything that may be suspicious.

""""""""Do you think that the failsafe mechanisms on a nuclear device created in the 60's can withstand a cryptoanalysis attack by a modern day computer? Do you think that 20 year cipher will hold up?"""""""""""" That's why there is NO cypher for the permissive action link on nukes. It's strictly a one-time use item. And the "failsafes" have nothing to do with computers. Think people! jesus!
