Something else the author didn't see apparently or he would have said so. Weeping women and children. Something is missing here and it the sad recounting of the women and children. It is entirely possible that they were evacuated and that the "village" was a garrison. They said 115 men, women and children were killed, but no one saw the bodies? Where were the mourners? They were all conveniently buried, I guess. The author was not afraid of his guides, only the Americans. This entire article smells of a set up for a gullible and credulous journalist.
