Hardly. What they undoubtedly presented were legal drivers licenses issued by state Motor Vehicle Departments throughout America.

That document was no different than licenses issued to American citizens, with no notation that they were merely visitors

But a foreigner can still get a license by producing a valid passport and visa, which gives the applicant 3 of the 6 points needed. The other three, at 1 point each, are easily obtained - ID such as a utility bill, a health insurance card, an ATM card, a bank account, the last two easily obtained by using your passport and visa, as the Bank of New York verifies.

Did anyone see the clips of the hearing today in Washington? The Attorney for a Muslim was one of the witnesses...seems his client was held for 2 months because his visa was expired.But he had not gone home

My question where is he now? He should have been shipped home ,not imprisoned..He must still be here..under what right is he here?

This nation/states will give anyone a drivers license. Osama Bin Laden could put on a Yankees cap and walk right into the DMV smelling like a campfire, and get a G-Damn drivers license. The DMV is a disgrace and a national security nightmare, much like our immigration policies and borders
