Surgeon General: CDC Labs a 'National Disgrace'

Satcher, who previously served as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said the whole US public health system needs an infusion of cash.

Well, well. As the former director, Satcher ought to know. After all, it happened on his watch! And of course, "an infusion of cash" will solve all the problems he left behind. It always does when dealing with Liberals.

Cash certainly would help but so would competent management which the CDC hasn't had in 15 years. The whole place with few exceptions is just a wasteland for bureaucratic finger pointing. They love their statisticians and record keeping but have lost any ability to provide competent analysis.

They got into a pout in the early 80's when all of the headlines went to NIH and Dr. Faucci and they've never been forced to wipe the egg off their face. They should bring in one of the military chiefs and let him kick ass for a couple of years...his brief would be to obtain 1 billion in funding for every 100 'section chiefs' he fires and 5 billion for infecting them all with whatever germ they can't fathom.

The clueless Satcher who was the previous director while at the CDC, then replaced the human cartoon-character, Jocelyn Elders as Surgeon General. Just what have these two morons accomplished for all their pomp and circumstance besides an occasional update on AIDS, condom use, or in Satcher's case, calling for an "infusion of cash" to make things better?

Seriously folks -- we NEED a 'Surgeon General' like we need 'Hate Laws.'
