Let's roll!!
illstillbe...in the back of my head, all weekend, don't know why it took me so long to bring it to the front and it out here. Your comment about the "BEATLES" the other day?? I agree..i was never a big fan, their music was ok...I understand the history behind it..but I can't see myself going into periods of mourning when one of them passes away.
Dog, hope all is going well.
I am almost solo today at work, I have 2 of my people out(LOL I only HAVE 2 people), and my boss just called in sick. So, i'll be popping in and out of here when I can.
Many of us are familiar with the running thread "A Day in the Life of President Bush," in which rintense posts pictures of the President and First Lady from the wire services.
I have just become aware of another freeper, Diogenesis, who has undertaken to post pictures of our armed forces in Afghanistan, along with pictures of the Afghani people and MAPS. This is an excellent thread, which one may find by searching on the phrase "GOTTA SEE THIS."
Here is the latest, with some excellent pictures:
Bless his soul, I hope he saw the 'light' before the end, but I don't reverence or idolize him.
I took a little liberty to paraphrase.
The exact quote is: Surrender, or be killed.
To Green-Uglies Everywhere:
Congratulations on your victory over the midshipmen. Bravo zulu!
Also, MSNBC...yes, MSNBC had excellent coverage Saturday night ...a special...on our Marines in Afghanistan...
It was actually covering them from when they left Camp LeJuene for standard duty of 6 months or so......but how they got ....'up to speed'...(but truly, they were already 'there' because their training is so good!!).. for the actual assault when 9/11 happened.
It was well written, presented and gracious towards President Bush!!

OneidaM ... thank you for your comments last evening ... you voiced, perfectly, some of the questions rumbling about my brain.
Molly ... you are on my mind and in my heart .... this will be a melancholy/bittersweat season for you, I think. (((hugs)))
*Prayers* to us ALL that we remain FOCUSED and show patience ... while holding tight to the lasting things ~~~ and are granted wisdom, fortitude, HEALTH, a bit o' humor ... comfort, solace and a SURRENDER OR DIE 'tude ... where appropriate, of course.
I think I prefer the latter, myself ...
Off to complete my toilette ....
AMERICAS WAR ON TERROR Day 84
Were Rolling Now!! Day 58
The news as reported in The Washington Times:
[Note All links go to The Washington Times website.]
1. A series of terrorist bombings has left 25 dead and over 200 wounded in Israel; that country holds Yassir Arafat responsible.
[This, I believe, is part of the larger strategy. Get Israel hooked in the war on our side and split off Arab support.]
( Bombings leave 25 dead in Israel )
2. President Bush has made it clear to Arafat: bring those responsible for the acts over the weekend to justice.
[Yassir needs to understand the paradigm is changing his method of dealing with Israel is not going to be tolerated much longer.]
( Bush orders Arafat to bring bombers' backers to justice )
3. Despite problems, automated radar will stay in Washington, DC, because it brings in lots of revenue this from the number two cop on that citys police force.
[Well, at least theyre honest about the shakedown. Time for a tourist boycott.]
( Police cameras are here to stay )
4. The assessment is that Al Qaeda is unable to carry out any more worldwide attacks as the result of the United States military action.
[EXCELLENT!! Go troops!!]
( Al Qaeda now in 'survival-only mode' )
5. Despite all that has happened in the last 10 weeks, the AFL-CIO still wants amnesty for illegal aliens.
[WHAT?!?! They cant be serious!]
( Amnesty for aliens on agenda of AFL-CIO )
6. Residents of Kandahar are worried the retreat of the Talibums into their city will cause it to garner the attention of US warplanes.
[Count on it!]
( Taliban influx worries Afghan market town )
We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.

Now you have the info, go support the United States of America!!!
Nope, not talking about football today. Nope, not gonna do it.
I like the quote, "SURRENDER OF DIE", that shows the resolve of America and this administration. Isn't it a wonderful feeling to have adults in charge?
Oneida, you will be a busy one today.
We get FOX NEWS only on Sunday morning, just as Geraldo came on, our cable went down. I was so put out. This is such a terrible cable service, they are a monoply here and act like it.
The house is ready for the tour of homes, with a few little things to be done....thank goodness the big stuff is finished.
I'll be in and out today, not only are we participating in the tour of homes next Saturday, but we have our Christmas party, put on by local businesses. I donate the wine and mixes plus some of the finger food. My helper and I will shop tomorrow for that stuff...don't know what finger food we will come up with, I've been thinking of peanut butter and crackers...hehe.
I'm taking a vacation day, and catch up on the sleep I missed.

I can sympathize. The Saints won, but it wasn't very satisfying, as they tried their best to give the game away.
But, what about those college games on Saturday? Army wins, Colorado wins, Tennessee beats Florida in a game for the ages, and, oh yeah, LSU has the BCS by the b*lls heading into this Saturday. A Tiger win, and Nebraska, who was annihilated by Colorado two weeks ago, backs into the Rose Bowl. Time for a playoff.
