Tolkien and Lewis were friends, though Lewis was a member of the Church of England.

OT: Save your money. Get the good paperbacks, then get some clear contact paper and cover the covers BEFORE you read them. This stuff is very, VERY good, and if you ever decide to remove it, it comes off cleanly, without ruining the original covers.

But I did see Harry Potter popcorn holders on the first day of the film's release.

True. There's still a lot of HP merchansising out there aimed at kids. As I recall, and I hope I'm not mistaken, her argument was she didn't want to see kids eating junkfood to squabble over HP trinkets. Or so I'd heard.

Popcorn, as junkfoods go, isn't too bad-- though pricey at the theater.

As far as the trinket angle goes, I think you have more to worry about with adults.
