This is the kind of thing that makes me think we've been had as far as this war goes. Retaliating for 9/11 is fine, but now there's this subtext going on with worrying about women's rights. Who cares if Afghan women have to wear a veil or can't work or can't dance? It's not like it's in America...except mothers not working might be a nice thing to do here in this country. Why does America have to go on this universal feminist crusade? If that's what Islam does, or at least it's radical version, whatever that is, with women, let them do it over there amongst themselves. Just get bin Laden and some al-Qaida leaders and get the he!! home!

Women do and women vote in the USA.

This isn't about some radical feminist agenda. This is about the ability of a human being to live in freedom and without fear of harassment from their government. To right to teach your daughters how to read. To work so that your children don't starve. To not be beaten for showing your face in public or have your fingernails torn off for wearing nail polish or not be shot in the head in a soccer stadium without a trial for some trumped-up charge. If you can't stand up for such basic human rights then I really don't understand what your problem is.
