This is about the ability of a human being to live in freedom and without fear of harassment from their government. To right to teach your daughters how to read. To work so that your children don't starve. To not be beaten for showing your face in public or have your fingernails torn off for wearing nail polish or not be shot in the head in a soccer stadium without a trial for some trumped-up charge.
