Welcome aboard. I have only been to Montreal twice. I remembered a poem by Abraham Klein titled "Autobiographical". He was a resident of Montreal born in 1909. Not Jewish myself, I managed to understand his view and Jewish views of living in a predominantly Christian world. I note that the Canadian Parliament passed about 395 to 5 a vote for extra measures to supercede some of Canadian so called human rights laws. This is to combat terrorism. Intellectuals and college professors have ranted against what they think is draconian solutions posed by the new regulations. This includes some Canadian media( of course).
In all good humour, I would like to remind certain champions of absolute freedom(left wing freedoms) of a statement by the Duke of Wellington. He mentioned the "first whiff of grapeshot, stiffening the ranks". Wake up certain Canadians, you have been warned, save the niceties of human rights for later. Safety first.
