I'm relatively new to the Houston area and I have no idea how such a poor speaker and a person who can't put together coherent sentences got elected in a city like this. He was pathetic tonight. Unfortunately, he's guaranteed 30% of the vote because he has a (D) after his name.

I'm pro-Sanchez. If I still lived in Houston I'd vote for him. That said, when Brown took over the Houston P.D. (in the 80s), he drastically improved it - cut the response time to a felony crime in half, IIRC. I'm not saying he has the stuff to be Mayor, but he does/did have some ability at one time. Some people may remember that and credit him for it. FReegards

Maybe the incompetent wannabe Brown is counting on a 30% vote, but for sure he will be run down by the best choice: Orlando Sanchez. Houston is voting for Sanchez because he is a fine candidate and because the Brown option is not an option after his failed attempt at being a good mayor in NY City and the pathetic performance in Houston. God bless the new Mayor Orlando Sanchez and God bless Houston with true leadership!
