Well, apparently many Islamic countries do not interpret the Qu'ran the same as these quotes you supply. Legalized death sentences exist for those who convert from Islam (Saudi Arabia) or those who speak ill of Mohommed or the Qu'ran (Pakistan).

It was an article in the November issue of WhistleBlower magazine entitled "Islam:From Toleration to Terror". Here is the only online reference I could find to the article that unfortunately doesn't cover the entire printed version.
The printed version describes persecution, including those I mentioned in my earlier post, in five Islamic countries: Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, and Egypt.
