Americans are concerned about terrorism and our fragmented nation. But how can these problems be solved if we continue our current immigration policy? The terrorists of the Sept. 11 attack are all foreign born, with some entering this country legally. Conducting background checks of visa applicants, and tracking and deporting illegal and criminal aliens requires an enormous amount of time and resources. The Immigration and Naturalization Service is already overwhelmed with its current backlogs! How can the INS, our ports of entry and our consular offices be effective if they are continually burdened with over 700,000 applications for permanent residency annually, in addition to hundreds of thousands of "temporary" working visas and student visas and millions of tourist visas to process every year? While this nation focuses on fighting Muslim terrorists, Americans should be aware of the serious political repercussions of the amnesty talks for millions of illegal Mexicans which are being actively pursued between high-level U.S. and Mexican officials. A case in point: Prize-winning Mexican novelist Elena Poniatowska was quoted by WorldNetDaily.com on Aug. 15, 2001, as saying: "Mexico is recovering the territories yielded to the United States by means of migratory tactics." She has taught at Ivy League universities such as Harvard, Yale and Princeton. Le Nouvel Observateur, a well respected French weekly news magazine, also carried a news article this past August entitled: "Californie: La reconquista des Latinos." A recent article by the New California Media reported that Mexico "continues to mourn the loss of half of its territory to the U.S. in the 19th century." Furthermore, many Mexican-American leaders have publicly made it known in recent years that it is only a matter of time before Latinos control California, the Southwest, and eventually, the entire U.S. For example, Mario Obledo, former California secretary of Health and Welfare, said in 1998: "Eventually, we are going to take over all the political institutions of California." He also stated that those who don't like Mexicans "should go back to Europe." Henry Cisneros, former secretary of Housing and Urban Development said in 1995: "As goes the Latino population will go the state of California, and as goes California will go the United States of America ... the stakes are big, this is a fight worth making." In fact, if the United States population continues to grow the way it did in the last decade as shown in the 2000 Census mathematically, people with Mexican origins will be the majority in California by 2025 and in the entire U.S. by 2070. In recent years, Hispanic activists have vigorously pushed legislation in many states and in Congress that would grant benefits to illegal immigrants. Those measures will encourage high illegal immigration, which in turn generate more voters in the future. Redistricting, voter fraud and high fertility rates of Mexican immigrants will further increase the numbers of individuals with an extremist agenda elected to political offices. As we know, President Bush won the election in Florida by only a few hundred votes. But if the U.S. grants amnesty to millions of illegal Mexicans, many newly naturalized citizens will be voting in future U.S. elections who could be mobilized by people like Poniatowska, Obledo or Cisneros. In addition, naturalized citizens can also petition for extended family members to immigrate to this country. U.S.-born children born of all newcomers, including guest workers, are American citizens and can become voters when they reach 18. Is this what the then-Mexican President Zedillo had in mind when he affirmed in Chicago in 1997 that "the Mexican nation extends beyond its territory enclosed by its borders and that Mexican migrants are an important, a very important part of it"? Professor Samuel P. Huntington, chairman of the Harvard Academy for International Area Studies and a former White House coordinator of Security Planing for the National Security Council, recently wrote: "Mexican immigration is a unique, disturbing and looming challenge to our cultural integrity, our national identity and potentially to our future as a country." In 1998, President Clinton warned: "Unless we handle this well, immigration of this sweep and scope will destroy the bonds of our Union." Indeed, because of bilingual education, an explosion of ethnic media, multilingual ballots, progress in telecommunications and transportation and the continued massive influx of foreign born, assimilation of most immigrants coming from over 100 countries is becoming next to impossible. Sadly, the United States is becoming a de facto bilingual country because many large institutions offer Spanish as the alternative to English. For the sake of our public safety and national unity, concerned Americans should urge President Bush and their representatives in Congress to support HR 2712 introduced by Congressman Tom Tancredo, R-Colo. A temporary freeze and reduction of most categories of visas, coupled with measures to combat illegal immigration and terrorism, are crucial to ensure the survival of this nation.

Completely unregulated immigration will also let in that aspect of "culture" that people have been raised with for generations, seizing power or settling beefs via violent methods. These aspects of culture are not automatically turned off once someone crosses this mythical dotted line on a map.. We just saw this with the jihaders, and people who warned against it for years suffered massive demonization and "aww, tinfoil hat alert, LOL" at the hands of the businessmen and multiculturalists who have promoted those views as in "it'll never happen". They were wrong then, and are wrong now.
I am genertally speaking of course, but this is *true facts* as well, not "opinion". If people think that at some point this particular "part of the daily norm" hispanic/latino/I don't care what they call themselves political process won't be widely used in the US, they are as delusional as the ones who before thought that islamic radicals wouldn't "do anything" here, because 'badstuff" only happens on TeeVee to fictional cartoon characters overseas someplace. Wrong then, that's been proven. The next groups to use terror attacks in the US extensively will be the latinos, then the red chinese.
I will state this as fact at this point, it is inevitable.
And no, obviously can't name names, and I am fully aware that any number of freepers are/married to/know someone etc who is in those groups. Well, like I said, I am generally generally speaking. there are 'both" in everyones particular subgroup, good and bad, just pointing out political power reality south of the border, and in the PRC.
Not "all" islamics are terrs, but *enough* are to "cause problems". It is the same deal with the two groups I mentioned, and because of the sheer size of the populations involved, I think the "latspanics" will be next on the violence in CONUS deal. Every single clue is there, just waiting for the bombs to go off now. Everyone wondered when the bioterr attacks might start, too, it was 'quaint intellectual discourse" on internet forums say, or in the oped pieces. Well, they did, it's started now, "officially".. Still small, but that jenni is loose now. Next deal is the "immigration" of the central and south american "normal political process".
I was in Miami last week. Talk about feeling out of place in your own country! Even though I speak a little Spanish and my wife's grandparents came here (legally) from Mexico, we both felt out of place nearly everywhere we went because we are not fluent Spanish speakers and those we were in contact with did not speak English. To me (us), something is wrong when English is not needed to conduct day-to-day business in the United States.
About a decade ago I was in huntington, california taking care of my aunt who was very ill. Spent around 3 months there. Her home (at the time) was worth roughly a quarter million. She was retired, worked with howard hughes companies in a low corporate level area, but high tech and very classified, according to her "specialities", keyhole satellites for one. She was fairly "well paid", and lived accordingly. Anyway, her neighborhood was being overrun by gang bangers. She had given up on keeping the gang symbol graffitti off of her spanish style low walls around the property. Nice house, looked like a nice neighborhood on the outside, but very few anglos when I was there, I'd say 5% anglos, the rest hispanic. It was turning into "not nice" brand hispanic, as opposed to "nice folks" like she said it was when they had bought the place a coupla decades earlier, and it was still a "mixed" neighborhood. It was shots in the night and sirens constantly. I have no idea what happened to that neighborhood by now, but you could see it transitioning into a form of "terrorism" that just isn't called that in our PC world, but it really is a form of terrorism that exists, causes loss of life and all the other negative aspects associated with terrorism-it fits the profile in other words.
I have no idea how many gangbangers there are there now. Thousands and thousands would be my guess, but maybe I'm completely wrong, I just don't know, never been back, no desire to go to california in general, either. I thought the custom cars were nice, though, and I did get to meet B-1 bob and talk with him for around 15 minutes or so.. Lotta pretty girls, remember that, too, but still.......it was spooky.
Saw the same thing happen in detroit when I was growing up, where I used to play at relatives as a kid in the 50's-real leave it to beaver land neighborhoods deluxe- it's now more like what you would expect to see in like beirut or kinshasa, good AND bad, emphasis 'bad" unfortunately. I don't think it's inaccurate or foolish to take note of changing realities sometimes.
I don't think there is any fix for it, it's too far gone, best anyone can do is to live someplace they feel safer and more secure, and that's an individual decision to make, as long as the government doesn't step in, like they want to. I don't think it's any sort of accident they are trying to make rural living harder to pull off, why there is this ethnic ruralite cleansing going on, I think it's part of the over-all "plan" of making the US just another ho hum but large second world nation, a two class society, and more and more herd people into the mega cities.
Watched a PBS special on wolves the other night, whole show on how wonderful it is to re-wild yellowstone with wolves, about ten seconds little video clip on how all the surrounding people who live near ther park got zero use for wolves, but the elites and government "win" on that measure. The 'rewilding" goofball is a badged fedcop, I call them 'treecops"-true believers, dangerous people. Above the crowd, "know better" think it's OK to threaten people with loss of their culture and livelihood so they can play around and be junior scientist with arrest powers. In a microcosm, that's part of what's going on. I think it should be "resisted", city and country. I don't think just voting is gonna do it, either. I don't know what will, either. I don't know what should be done, either, besides what you can do individually by moving rural, living your life clean and honest, be an asset to your community, and deo whatever it takes to keep your small little local community that way, and not worry so much about the big picture. if everyone did that, the big picture might just take care of itself. I think so anyway.
And it doesn't matter if that particular theory of mine in it's different aspects is correct or not, reality is, the negative aspects ARE happening, right in front of our faces. You cannot destroy the middle class established "american" infrastructure by exporting the jobs, and importing the third world, and herding ALL the people into the cities, at the same time, without creating an 'average' of 1 (first world)+3(third world) divided by 2 (both those elements trying to occupy the same space at the same time and not get an equals = 'second world" status. it weill happen as long as the elites who run the public schools brainwash all the children, and brainwash the new or younger governmental employees, which they are and have done already, generally speaking. It's inevitable at this point, and the bulk of the top elites in this country wish it so, so, it happens.
The second world is a two class technological society, an upper class of connected and "in power" businessmen/wealth owners/media moguls/academics on a mega scale, with the political leaders and the military and police-then everyone else.
Personally, I think that's a sucky idea, a terrible way to arrange a nation, and one has to look around and see exactly who is in favor of what on that deal, and take it from there on 'what to do" about it..
Or Caifornia, Texas and Florida will become the Quebec's of the U.S. tomorrow.
