God took away Israel's right to defend it's self both nationally and individually lots of times. But, the point remains, He gave them and us the right. If He chooses to take it away, so be it. Shouldn't we fight to keep the right, just to be sure it's His doing? ;-)
So what you're indicating by that statement is the 2nd amendment is null and void and susceptible to the whims of petty politicians since God, in your opinion, does not grant us the absolute right to defend ourselves. Your argument can be taken as since the government doesnt want us to defend ourselves with firearms than it must be Gods will.
If there is no right to self defense from the gang bangers, muggers, rapist via use of a carried handgun then there is no right to self defense from the terrorists of the world with an AR15. Based on your logic it doesnt work both ways.
