Jim, You have a popular site here, for good reason. It is simply the best discussion site on the internet. I know that people have made claims about your finances, and honestly, I have no opinion on that. But I do think those claims only have whatever weight they do because of the donation model you run FR on. If you turned it into a for profit business nobody would care how much you paid yourself or demand that you reveal your expenses. It could be ad based or subscription based or however you think. We are all capitalists here, there is no sin in doing business. Why not try that?

I disagree. People freely choose to donate. That they do so is nobody else's business. How Jim spends the money donated is also nobody else's business.
