Well, I've reviewed your account and I'll have to offer a partial apology. Looks like you were not suspended before your banning, but you were definitely warned several times in September. You even documented your discussions with the moderators over on one of the AFer sites. And also I see that you were not quite as caustic as Arator. There were several abuse reports submitted about some of your posts, but not nearly as many as some of the others who got banned. The final straw that got you banned is when you became and active anti-freeper and even started dragging some of their garbage into FR. If you want to be FReeeper, you should avoid doing eschoir's bidding.

I am amused at how while here at FR you're the picture of civility -- you're still spreading your muck but doing it with at least an air of civility...but the picture of you and the others at AFer is quite different. Your continued use of pejorative and derogatory names for Bob, Dio, Jim, BadJoe and many, many others.

But then again we frown on that kind of behavior here as do most civilized people but over in anti-freeper land where the company is low class I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that the conversation is low class also.

Is it accurate that, at the time of this post, you were receiving a six figure annual salary from Talkspot? Wasn't Talkspot also paying for FR's bandwidth, as well as providing FR with technical support?

Despite this, were you not still holding fundraisers on FR? In light of the foregoing, was it accurate to claim that you weren't being paid a whit?

Yes, it was accurate. I was working double shifts seven days per week (still am) and I was not getting paid by FR. The fundraisers at the time were for our activisim projects and for our legal fund. I did have a personal consulting contract with TalkSpot that paid me $50,000 in 1998 and another $50,000 in 1999. Everyone has to make a living. TalkSpot also provided us with a server and bandwidth during that period. TalkSpot offered technical assistance, but we did not need it and did not take advantage of their offer.

I was glad to see the doors back open for those that were banished. Todays posts have been great with plenty of debate.

You seem to be quick to judge others here and its my belief that those kind of judgements and observations eventually lead to personal attacks. Attacks do nothing for this great site and I'm sorry to say over the years its just too much at times.

I have followed this thread a good part of the day and its nice reading the posts of those that actually engage in debate.

Note to absolutely everyone. Arator whines about being mistreated at Free Republic. He whined about being mistreated on his own website. He whines about being mistreated on the boards spawned by his bigotry and lies.

2. If you do donate to support Free Republic and you don't like the way the money is used, either stop donating or query the ptb's privately by FReepmail.
