I believe the objection to one of the companies in the running for making the vaccine, which I share, is that they developed their vaccine from fetal tissue from an aborted baby.

I know they can make a vaccine without such research/use. I was vaccinated when young in the 1960's and I am sure that the vaccine had no such "taint" to it. On principle I could not take such a vaccine that was so tainted. I hope the contract goes to the comapny not using such measures.

Anyhow, that is what I understand and I am researching it more now.

Regards.

I would have many of the same objections if the vaccine were obtained from such a source. I do not believe that the vaccine currently on hand or being purchased is from such a source as the production of such a vaccine from such a source would not be proven yet. I do not know the exact method for the production of the additional vaccine doses. I wish I did.

Smallpox vaccinations started in the 1700's and it is certain that human fetal cells were not available for reasearch at that point. I think but am not sure calf skin was used to grow the vaccine in the early part of the twentieth century.
