She's absolutely right. The fight is over allowing women to decide for themselves which cultural practices they choose to follow. It's the beatings, the surpression, the forced lack of education that has held them prisioner.
That and the fact that all burquas were BLUE! Now, blue is a fine color, but face it, a woman needs a little variety.
I understand that the fashion _this_ year is for a deep _sky_ blue and showing the legs almost to the knees. (As well as "shoes that make a clicking sound" including high heels.) It's driving the Talibangers nuts.
