She did cover the "furnituregate" aspect. It was all about how they took everything that wasn't nailed down. She devoted quite a lot to that subject in fact. So much info perhaps you just missed it! :)

I noticed that and was wondering if it was a typo or some "hidden" commentary of some sort! LOL

"exposing the clinton's for what they are.....GRIFTERS....to say the least. "

Have you ever seen the film, "The Grifters"? Ohhh, how I'd love to see Hillary on the wrong end of six oranges wrapped in a towel.

HA! Yes there was, and it was well documented, and in fact, they had to return some of the furniture back to the White House where it belonged.

As I said above, it is covered in the book, I just read it. The trashing of the Offices also DID happen. In fact, after the Bush administration tried to take the high road, they finally had to say this was done in respose to Clintonites then trying to say they had made this up. Ari then showed the media the evidence.
One wonders why you would make these comments?

I've bought the book but it still sits on my shelf because I just can't stand getting so mad and frustrated when I read what those two clowns have gotten away with. Also subconsciously, I also know it is Olson's last book and that makes me even sadder.

I have been to Borders two times. Both times they said they were sold out. I don't believe they ordered more than 2 copies. But the book Jack is still in supply. All over the racks and piled high on the floor. Barbara Olson's book would sell more copies, if there were more copies available.

This is the quote that stopped me cold--it was a while before I could continue reading (from Chapter 1):

"White House aides told reporters that Clinton was determined to leave a legacy that incoming Republicans would have a hard time erasing (how true that turned out to be)."

How people in the media were able to stomach their corruption, and criminal and unethical conduct and then go to defend them constantly made me even more disgusted. That Monica Mess (Not just the blue dress !) and the propaganda, lying and perjury brought the presidency to its lowest point in history.

It's one of my pet peeves that the media has not been held accountable for their part in the eight-year reign of the Clintons Crap on America!

I'm reading Barbara's book right now, and think she has done a fine job putting things in perspective. I too was so angry, I had to put the book down, because of the laws broken, the media cover-up. I also think Schumer is afraid of her, as I think most of the senate, democrats and republicans alike, are afraid of what she knows about each and everyone of them, even members of their families, who may have something they don't want the public to know, because of her raw material data base that has been put together from FBI files.

She more than x42 will stop at nothing to get her way for, I think, she truly believes she has paid her dues, by protecting x42 for 20 years+ and she is far more intellectually superior than us, therefore is entitled to run this country.

I've almost stopped watching C-SPAN, because they will give her tv time, even though she is a freshman senator, and leave more senior ones off.

I've also read "Hell to Pay", and it was even more enlightening than anything I had read before. This #97 is someone to watch, she could be dangerous.

"White House aides told reporters that Clinton was determined to leave a legacy that incoming Republicans would have a hard time erasing

I am inclined to think that by that Clinton meant he wanted -- and still does -- to be thought of the best president EVER, most popular, most liked, you know, that high schoolish kind of thing. Think of how many times he characterized any annoucement during his terms as "the first time any administration has....." Always bragging on himself.

I'm willing to bet that the fact that Bush is so well liked is killing him. He must be dying because of the numbers -- plus the press seems to like him. And who would have thought it -- ten whole months and NOT ONE SCANDAL........see, it IS possible, Bill and Hillary. It wasn't the press or mean-spirirted conservatives out to get you or do you in; it was you, you pathetic crooked creeps!

He will never be at peace as long as there is ONE PERSON out there who doesn't like him. Pity, ain't it?

This book is one of my treasures. I adored Barbara Olson. She knew a lot more, wish it could all have gone in print. Recently I read an article about hillery, according to the article she refused at one time to salute our Flag. Chris Matthews also made such a statement on Tim Russert. And to think she is serving as one of our senators and has aspirations to become our president. I pray America will wake up. I believe the majority voters for '92 and '96 hold part of the blame for the WTC disaster. If we had a President that cared as much for our country as he did for his next lay, this may never have happened.

Thanks for the post. We were at Barnes and Noble last Saturday and they were out of Barbara's book, too. While I was browsing two different people asked an annoyed employee for the book and she said they had 14 copies on order, at Christmas, when the book's obviously in demand? Meanwhile, books on Carter, Jackie-O, Katherine Graham were placed front and center (were (^:).

On E-bay, both The Final Days and Hell to Pay are in high demand. The copy of Hell to Pay which expired today had 9 bidders bidding up to $28.00 at last count. Amazon had The Final Days at #11 last Saturday. Americans want to know, and they're obviously wiser than the folks at the bookstores and networks. (^:

A couple of people have asked how I did this. I photocopied the pages of the book on my home copier. Then I scanned them with my trusty Visioneer PaperPort Vx. Then I OCR'd the scanned pages with TextBridge Pro (that came with the PaperPort). Finally, I had a little clean-up to do after the OCR, and I added a little HTML for formatting. Took me about an hour.

I agree with you. It is a double whammy. Sheer disgust and loathing for the Clintons and incredible grief and sadness about Barbara. That is a lot of emotion all at once. But, I will buy and read the book. We all should. Barbara's efforts should not be in vain.
