Yeah? and in most of your 2 man fighting games, you can enter a cheat to see blood and gore pretty explicitly. Heck, turn on the Discovery Channel or The Learning Channel and watch a surgery, autopsy, or crime scene in all it's glory
To: Outlaw76
No nothing was sarcastic. Those images are in the books. And there are more. I will post later. They are not the same little fantasy books that these people are trying to compare them with. J.K. Rowlings has also promised that her books will get darker. Then people wonder why society is so violent and kids are killing one an other.

Help! My daughter saw the Harry Potter and did not want to go to school the next day!
She then cast Devil roots on me!
I AM STUCK IN THE BASEMENT WITH THE NAMELESS ONE!
HELP!

I don't think so.... what platform is it on??
To: MSCASEY
I think you mistook my meaning... I was replying to the following:
Wrong!!! My kids don't pretend to be witches, goblins or any of the such. Only good things do they pretend to be, because it is only good things that I like to be in their heads and hearts.

If you can't see he scary parts, you have no understanding of true horor. *shivers*
To: PurVirgo
Yeah that is why I stay away from that garbage too! If I as adult want to watch something about history or a surgery, it would not be in front of my children. Why would I want to play a game with fighting were there is blood and guts all over?

Then people wonder why society is so violent and kids are killing one an other. Oh, for cryin' out loud, whatever you think of Harry Potter don't go blaming J.K. Rowling for the evil in the world.
To: MSCASEY
HEY!! Tin foil hats are supposed to be comfortably fitting, not cutting off your bloodflow!! Lighten up, please?? You are acting as though young people never caused harm to each other before Harry Potter. If anything, a mutual love of literature will forge friendships based an a common love.

Most wiccans I have known are also PETA types with rather thin skin. Fun to poke.*LOL* not all of us.
The stuff Harry Potter is nothing at all like Wicca. Wiccan practices include:
- Worship of the deity in the form of God/Goddess. Is this mentioned at all in Harry Potter?
- Rituals set in a magical circle, in the presence of the four elements (air, fire, water and earth). Is this mentioned in Harry Potter?
- 'Magical' work, which is not at all like that in HP: there are no dog Latin phrases to accomplish a certain effect.
All in all, the Potter books would be a very poor 'introduction to Wicca'. Any children who think that geting into Wicca will be like attending Hogwarts is going to be very rapidly disappointed.

I don't blame Harry for anything, hell they guy isn't even real.

Do you brainwash often? Or just twice a month?
To: MSCASEY
I dunno. I certainly don't. But I have a younger brother that happens to enjoy his fighting games. Is he a violent person?? Not by a long shot. Coming from his sister that can still rough him up ;)

My daughter saw the Harry Potter and did not want to go to school the next day! OMG! I didn't want to go to work the next day either...oh the horrors!

Do you brainwash often? Or just twice a month? Now wiping the coffee off my screen...

Hello, there's a war going on. For victory & freedom!!!
To: AppyPappy
Lotsa luck, AppyPappy. Veggie Tales are too clean and innocent. Deception is much more interesting and saleable. I have to laugh at how some posters talk about how certain Christian books are marketed, such as "The Prayer of Jabez," but they neglect to talk about how Potter books are marketed, with all the stuff that goes along with it for sale (i.e., broomsticks). None so blind who cannot see.
To: 94Revolution
Yeah! someone got it. 3 points awarded!

I don't blame Harry for anything, hell they guy isn't even real. Knew you didn't. Just invitin' ya along for the ride...
