Like much of Rushs stuff, Im sure it plays well on the coasts but is just so much nonsense to we "backward" folks in flyover country. "Resolve" certainly isnt a newly discovered trait here.

Sidenote: I know that it has inexplicably become vogue amongst many of our nations biggest writers but, as "the spokesman for the Right", someone should tell Rush that the word "but" and the word "and" are not interchangeable. Pet peeve...

I was born in Kansas and was raised by two Kansan parents, so I know this "resolve" has been a distinct part of my character since the git-go, too. My dad even pointed out that he was a little perturbed that all these Johnny-come-latelies were flying their flags proudly since 9/11 when our family has felt that way forever. My response to him--and to you--is to welcome the late-comers who are FINALLY realizing what a great country we have and to encourage and build upon that new-found resolve to get these folks to join our Cause.
