Hello Mud: As one who considers himself a long time member of Buchanan's Brigade, I'm here to tell you that I have no ill will toward Dubya and his administration. But I also have no problem speaking out when he and his administration establishes policy that will come back to haunt us and our children.

Prior to 9-11, his attempt to legalize millions of illegals was flat out insane. Also, his devotion to free trade will, in time, make America even more dependent to imports that ever before.

I've long ago stopped waving pom poms at the Republican party leadership. It's a very liberating experience...

"Hello Mud"

Howdy, my long-time FRiend.

"As one who considers himself a long time member of Buchanan's Brigade, I'm here to tell you that I have no ill will toward Dubya and his administration. But I also have no problem speaking out when he and his administration establishes policy that will come back to haunt us and our children."

As one who considers himself to have been one of the most fervent ForbesFanatics--still think he'll eventually make one heckUVA POTUS--I can honestly say that, on this point you make, we could not be in more agreement. In fact, I will say this about those BushBackers who don't speak out when he appears to veer to the Left...they ain't doin' Dubyuh any favors!!

"Prior to 9-11, his attempt to legalize millions of illegals was flat out insane."

Bush NEVER attempted to do that...NEVER!! Please try to find me one verifiable quote--by Dubyuh--that Dubyuh ever even considered such lunacy. Actually, don't waste the time, because there is no quote that says anything like that...that story was manufactured by Lefty Race-Baitin' Whores who thought it would be a good way to start a fight between Hispanics and non-Hispanics within the GOP.

"Also, his devotion to free trade will, in time, make America even more dependent to imports that ever before."

We can sit here on the shore with our pitchforks and try to stop the inevitable linkage of America with the rest of the World via trade, but we can't stop it!! FRee Trade is the best policy for a Strong America, IMHO...our efforts on this isue should always be towards breaking down the Trade Barriers of other Nations, not in increasing our own tariffs (IMHO, again, of course).

"I've long ago stopped waving pom poms at the Republican party leadership. It's a very liberating experience..."

Ain't it though?! In Virginia, I'm working with some folks behind the scenes to find a suitable candidate to replace the RINO John Warner and I'm almost as excited about that as I am to work towards the Inevitable Imprisonment of Der SchleekMeister. As you know, I've contributed to--and worked for--Libertarian candidates in the past and will most likely do so again in the future...but I still like the GOP and think it's salvageable from within. Most of the time, I appreciate you and other GoPatGoers' efforts to enforce conservative discipline from without.

FReegards...MUD
