I started this thread very late last night, and didn't really contribute anything other than a question. My Bible is a Prophecy Study Bible; its commentary forthrightly makes the case that we are in the last days. There is one page of commentary that talks a lot about signs and which ones the authors believe have been or are being fulfilled.
I'm going to enter some of that page tonight to more effectively contribute to this discussion that I started.

No problem. I myself am about to head off for work (I'm on the evening shift), so it may be tomorrow before I can drop back in. I hope this thread runs for a while; it's been some time since I saw the subject broached at FR, and so far this seems to be a prett level-headed discussion.
